Fred Y Shestopal
Founding Partner Fred Shestopal graduated from DePaul University in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science. Thereafter, he went on to John Marshall School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2002. In addition, he earned his L.L.M. in Intellectual Property with honors. He was admitted to the State Bar of Illinois in 2002. Over the past two decades, Fred has garnered a reputation in the field of construction law, personal injury, real estate and bankruptcy. He is especially recognized for his expertise in the area of Mechanic's Lien remedies and issues concerning contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers. Fred has litigated and arbitrated numerous construction cases in Illinois and throughout the United States, with his network of independent local counsel. Due to his unique approach to his practice and the ability to represent companies all over the United States, he often represents multinational manufacturers in complex litigation cases, including Construction Defects, Foreclosure of Mechanics lien, Miller Act claims to Preference Defense cases. Fred also serves as a general counsel to a number of well recognized domestic and international companies where he is often involved in various aspects of the company's corporate affairs, including contract reviews and development, dispute resolution and legal consulting.
